K-Technology, a Division of Thermacore is currently seeking a Quality Manager for our location in Langhorne, PA.
The Quality Manager has overall responsibility for customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement, and serves as the Management Representative as defined by ISO9001/AS9100. This position requires a self-motivated individual capable of engaging in a multitude of activities simultaneously. The Quality Manager must also have the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate effectively with personnel from a variety of backgrounds, such as management, design and development, production and process control, inspection and calibration, and quality systems.
The Quality Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations, and has a Quality Inspector as a direct report to assist in his duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring the processes needed for the ISO9001/AS9100 quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained
- Maintenance, Review, and Control of Quality Manual, Policy, Objectives, and Procedures
- Customer Satisfaction Measurement
- Data Collection of Performance Metrics
- Ensuring Product Quality
- Inspection (Receiving, In-Process, Final) and Testing
- Calibration
- Control of Production Processes and Work Instructions
- Supplier Assessment / Control
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Management experience preferred
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of quality management experience in the manufacturing industry
- Hands-on experience establishing, audited, leading and maintaining an ISO/AS quality system
- Experience working as a QM, QE, or SQE in a manufacturing environment utilizing an ISO/AS quality system
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
- Experience in DFMEA, PFMEA, process control plans and technical process documentation
- Trained in and have knowledge of root cause analysis, six sigma, CI and CA processes
- Strong decision making skills with experience communicating with C-Level management
- Experience working directly with customers
- ASQ certification preferred
